Financial Accountant | Germiston, GP

Hire Resolve is seeking a professionally qualified Financial Accountant to join a dynamic manufacturing group. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented finance professional with a background in manufacturing or consumer goods who is ready to oversee complex financial reporting and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly trial balances and management accounts, providing detailed variance analysis and commentary for senior management.

• Compliance & Audit: Ensure strict adherence to IFRS and relevant tax legislation. Manage the year-end audit process and maintain the company’s Fixed Asset Register.

• Internal Controls: Implement and improve systems of internal control to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

• Cash Flow Management: Oversee daily cash flow, perform bank reconciliations, and manage the release of payments within authority schedules.

• Statutory Submissions: Lead the preparation and submission of VAT, Income Tax, and other statutory returns.

• Cross-Functional Support: Coordinate finance-related administration across Payroll, Customer Services, and Business Support functions.

Requirements:

• Education: BCom Accounting or equivalent degree.

• Professional Registration: Must be registered as a PA(SA) with SAIPA, CIMA, AGA, or a similar professional body.

• Experience: Proven post-articles experience in a manufacturing or consumer goods environment is highly advantageous.

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial accounting systems and MS Excel; experience with system implementations is a plus.

• Attributes: High level of integrity, analytical mindset, and the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
