Job Description

We are a growing small-to-medium-sized business in the water purification industry, expanding steadily at 20–30% year-on-year. With a close-knit team of around 14 people, we pride ourselves on maintaining an informal, non-corporate culture – “fun but professional.” Our workplace is positive, collaborative, and supportive, giving our team autonomy without unnecessary micromanagement.

  • Full bookkeeping function up to balance sheet

  • Manage day-to-day accounts processing, reconciliations, and journals

  • Oversee debtors, creditors, cashbook, and bank reconciliations

  • Prepare VAT and other statutory submissions

  • Month-end reporting and management accounts preparation for the owner

  • Maintain accurate records, ensure compliance, and safeguard financial processes

  • Provide administrative support to the wider office where required

  • Act as a watchdog to keep business processes and systems in orde

Requirements

  • Senior-level Bookkeeper with 10+ years’ experience preferred

  • Proven competence up to balance sheet level

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability

  • Strong organisational skills and proactive approach

  • Integrity and reliability – trusted to manage finance independently

  • Experience with IQ Retail advantageous (QuickBooks/Pastel experience also considered)

  • Formal qualifications not essential – track record and competence valued more highly

  • Ability to work independently without micromanagement

  • Strong team player who can integrate into a positive, close-knit offic
