A leading Financial Services company is looking for a Junior Wealth Technical Specialist based in Cape Town to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail oriented professional with at least 3 years of experience in investment products, life insurance, and medical aids to support a national network of advisers with complex advice matters. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Financial Management or a related field, and be responsible for driving provider processes, conducting due diligence, and applying actuarial principles to solve routine problems. Responsibilities:

  • Support a national network of advisers with complex advice related matters.
  • Engage with product providers to ensure the product suite remains competitive.
  • Coordinate engagement sessions between various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on technical products and advice matters during distribution committees and meetings.
  • Track team projects and provide necessary support to ensure they are completed.
  • Conduct due diligence on product providers and introduce team efficiencies.
  • Report project progress and ad hoc business results to various management committees.
  • Apply actuarial principles and methods to solve defined and routine problems.
  • Analyse data received from product providers and collate feedback.
  • Perform statistical analysis and risk assessments.
  • Analyse financial statements and track project progress.
  • Present findings and analysis of due diligence to management.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Financial Management, Financial Planning, or Accounting.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning or CFP (Advantageous).
  • 3+ years of experience with investment products, life insurance, and medical aids.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for presentations.
  • Ability to analyse financial statements and understand financial products.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Competency in presenting due diligence findings to management.
